INTERIOR DESIGNER
Raised in Venezuela, Camila Crazut attended the country’s most esteemed architecture school, where she excelled in her final project and earned her degree, becoming a registered architect. Alongside her partner, Cesar Salazar, in both business and life, they established Salazar-Crazut Arquitectura, focusing primarily on residential projects and furniture design. After receiving a scholarship to pursue further studies abroad, she relocated to Brooklyn, NY, to attend Pratt Institute, where she obtained a master’s degree in interior design. Following graduation, she gained experience working in both New York and Caracas, contributing to architectural teams at various firms in New York City. Her passion lies in design, particularly in working on compact spaces. She relishes the challenge of discovering beauty and order within limited dimensions, believing that the smaller the challenge, the greater the opportunity for creativity to flourish.

Services
Concept Design
Concept design is the foundation of any project. It defines the overall vision, including the mood, the style, and key elements such as colors, materials, and spatial relationships. We explore and communicate ideas through sketches and visual tools, ensuring alignment with your goals. This phase sets the core principles to guide the design through all the stages.
Spatial Analysis
We examine the space’s dimensions, layout, and features to create functional, aesthetic, and meaningful environments. It focuses on circulation, ergonomics, user needs, and design purposes. We use key tools, including bubble diagrams, floor plans, 3D models, and user research. The process ensures efficient space use, enhances user experience, and leads to effective design solutions that align with the client's preferences.
Schematic Design
We begin by brainstorming and developing concepts that align with the client's needs and project goals. Next, we focus on space planning, addressing room arrangements and functionality, and determining furniture layouts based on scale and movement. Preliminary selections for materials and finishes are made, considering aesthetics and budget. We produce visual representations like sketches and 3D renderings to communicate the design and a rough cost estimate for feasibility. We gather client feedback and make revisions before proceeding to the next design phase.
Design Development
We transform the schematic designs into a detailed and actionable plan that aligns with the project's goals. We create accurate floor plans and elevations, finalize materials and finishes, and specify fixtures and equipment, including lighting and plumbing for kitchens and bathrooms. We optimize space planning by considering furniture arrangement and storage solutions, and we collaborate regularly with the client through design review meetings. To aid decision-making, we provide 3D renderings or models for a clear visualization of the final space. Deliverables for this phase include developed floor plans, specifications for materials and finishes, and 3D visualizations.
Construction Documentation
We develop detailed drawings and specifications to ensure contractors accurately execute the project while aligning with the client's vision and technical requirements. This includes architectural drawings like floor plans, elevations, and sections and finalizing materials, finishes, fixtures, and equipment specifications for consistency and quality. We also create technical drawings for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as needed. Documentation for permitting and regulatory approvals ensures compliance with local building codes, and these construction documents assist in contractor bidding to manage costs effectively.
Construction Administration
We ensure the design vision is executed accurately and aligned with contract documents. We oversee the project's implementation by managing contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, conducting site visits for quality control, and addressing any issues during construction. We review submittals from contractors to confirm compliance, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) to provide necessary clarifications, and handle change orders to document and implement any modifications. The process includes a punch list walk-through to identify and resolve outstanding defects before the final handover. Throughout the phase, the designer communicates clearly with the client, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Custom Case Goods & Furniture Design
We collaborate with manufacturers and mill workers to create custom furniture that integrates with your space and design. Each piece, from shelving and built-in cabinets to tables and chairs, is crafted to reflect the project's vision and meet specific client needs, blending functionality with artistry.
FF+E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment)
We comprehensively manage your project's selection and specifications of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E). We ensure each element complements the design, meets functional needs and code compliance, and aligns with the budget.
Sourcing & Procurement
We research, identify, and acquire furnishings, fixtures, materials, and accessories for a specific interior design project. Finding the right products to complement a space enhances its functionality, style, and overall appeal, creating cohesive spaces.
Art Consulting & Sourcing
We help our clients select, acquire, and manage artwork, ensuring it complements a space's overall aesthetic and functional needs, whether it's a home, office, or public building.
Installation
We coordinate and supervise the flawless installation of all design elements, from furniture and lighting to coverings and decorative accessories. We handle logistics, vendor management, and on-site supervision to ensure precise and efficient execution, transforming design into tangible reality.
Project Management
We comprehensively manage every project phase, from initial planning to final delivery. Coordinating teams, schedules, and budgets ensures fluid and transparent client communication. We aim to achieve the architectural vision within established timelines and parameters, optimizing resources.
